The Association of Acoustic Consultants of Ireland is providing a free online training course on the AACI Planning Guidance Document. The training will include information on the assessment of noise in relation to planning and details on the application of guidance within the document. It will also include a review of what a Planner should look for in an acoustic report to ensure that the planning submission can be relied upon. Rev 2 of AACI Planning Guidance Document is due for release in the coming weeks. It has been adopted by many Local Authorities and has been integrated into their Noise Action Plans. It is proposed that delegates will be provided with a CPD cert from the AACI on completion of this online training.
In January 2021 the AACI plan to hold 3 FREE (1 hour) training sessions for:
(1) Local Authority Planners (Junior and Senior Planners) at City and County Councils.
(2) Local Authority Environmental Officers.
(3) HSE officers involved in the planning process
(4) Private Planning Consultants.
(5) Members of the Irish Planning Institute.
Note: Training will only be provided to those identified above and not professionals working in acoustics in Ireland.
