Draft Policy Statement on Mineral Exploration and Mining

The Association of Acoustic Consultants of Ireland (AACI) is proud to have been directly involved in the Draft Policy Statement on Mineral Exploration and Mining consultation process. As a collective group, the AACI has made a formal and comprehensive submission setting out direction regarding matters on both noise and vibration. It is expected that our recommendations will help better inform the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC). The consultation process closed on Friday the 15th of October 2021.

The AACI is quickly becoming a key player on all matters pertaining to noise and vibration on a national level. In addition, the AACI in 2020 was selected and appointed to represent the Republic of Ireland at a European level, strengthening Ireland’s position with our European colleagues.

The AACI plans to continue its involvement in developing guidance documents with the government to ensure a sustainable future on noise and vibration for the Republic of Ireland. If you are a formally qualified consultant and want to play your part in being a member of our progressive organisation, please get in touch with our membership representatives to learn more about the application process.
